OIC (Office Ivoirien des Chargeurs) has implemented since 2005 the web-based BSC platform allowing foreign exporters to declare on-line all cargoes imported by Sea in Côte d’Ivoire

The new platform BSC is an extension of the existing BSC platform which covered now, in addition to imported cargoes, the cargoes exported from Côte d’Ivoire. Cote d'Ivoire exporters are therefore now able to declare through this new BSC website the cargos they want to export from Côte d’Ivoire.

Moreover, the new BSC platform offered a new module “Vessels” allowing to collect electronically from shipping lines (shipowner, charterer or operator) some detailed information about vessels intending to call into a port of Côte d’Ivoire (Abidjan or San Pedro).

This information about vessels intending to call into a port of Abidjan (PAA) or port of San Pedro (PASP) will allow ports but also the DGAMP (Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Ports) to access on-line to all necessary information to be controlled before to authorize a vessel to call into a port of Côte d’Ivoire.

Sharing of this information between trade operators and authorities allows monitoring in real-time the international maritime traffic in order to facilitate and accelerate the import/export procedures while strengthening the port security.
